2010, untitled

Team Muhvieh wins the Silver Bone at 2010's Dogs, Bones & Catering Dresden short film competition.

Our 2010 entry to Dresden based 40 hour short film competition Dogs, Bones & Catering. Team Muhvieh (that’s us) received the Silver Bone for our take on the reality distortion field in television by means of unforgotten Zlatko and Jürgen of Germany’s first run of Big Brother exactly ten years past.

The jury awarded our fidelity to the topic and simplicity of the idea over the effort other film makers have put into their work in these 40 hours but failed to entertain or meet the topic. Upon proclamation the theater filled with boos and the team accepted the award under extreme pressure from the audience, but withstood. The topic drawn this year: »Was ist der Unterschied zwischen Wirklichkeit und Realität?« (Translated: What’s the difference between reality and reality? German knows two words for reality identical in meaning depending on who you ask, one of them being Realität, the other Wirklichkeit).

Participating team members this year were Angela Scherzer, Peter Zimolong and myself.

»Die Realität ist kürzer als die Wirklichkeit.«

Peter Zimolong
